Discussion:
Analog gauge/meter controls

I'm looking for a component set of analog gauges and meters. It has to be
VCL component (no ActiveX) and very 'pretty'.

I'm currently using TMS Instrumentation, which isn't bad, but the analog
meter is very plain - really showing it's age.

Any suggestions?

TIA.

Cheers,

Thanks!

This one's analog meter is comparable to TMS - and TMS is far cheaper.

I like everything but the prices. I'm sure they're "worth" the price
if you need them for a business. However, as a "hobbyist developer"
these days they are extravagantly beyond my meager budget. <g>

I agree about price. I've a contract that *might* make the expense worth it,
but it will dig into profit (customer won't cough up more for my tools).

Still, they are very "pretty pretty".

From the web site they look like they are very well done.

Just grabbed the evaluation code. Having problems installing, but it's
5:30am after all...

Thanks. I'd already seen both.

The very beautiful controls displayed on the web site do not
appear to be available when building with D7. They are nice,
and there are a few things that are different than with TMS,
but unfortunately not 'pretty' enough for the application.

This one has amazing LCD, buttons, and cylinder gauges,
but no analog meters.

Thanks for the link. It looks like fading labels, sliders, knobs (all very
cool) but no analog meters.

Not sure how much effort it would be to add a meter, but I'm under the gun
for time right now - can't afford to investigate this.
